New Rio Trailer Online

A new trailer is out for Dreamworks Rio and I have to say I am somewhat more interested in it now than I was before.

It just didn’t wow me the first time out, but this new trailer seems to offer more of the ensemble of characters on screen, even if the trailer does pretty much spell out the entire story.

Ironclad Trailer Online

A new trailer for a medieval epic Ironclad is online staring Paul Giamatti as an awesome looking power crazy King John.

The year is 1215. King John (Paul Giamatti) has been forced to sign the Magna Carta, a document that will ensure the freedom of men and form the basis of common law in England. Furious at having been forced to sign it, King John raises a vicious mercenary army and begins a rampage across the country to regain total power. But as the King’s army is on the brink of reaching London and taking back control of the country, one last castle stands between him and inevitable victory: Rochester.

Gathered together by Baron Albany (Brian Cox), a small band of rebel warriors gather inside Rochester intent on holding off King John until reinforcements arrive: a Templar Knight (James Purefoy) whose soul is wracked with guilt over the atrocities he has committed during the crusades and his burgeoning feelings for Isabel (Kate Mara), the beautiful lady of the castle and lonely wife of the aging Reginald de Cornhill (Derek Jacobi); battle-hardened mercenaries such as Beckett (Jason Flemyng), who fight not for God and country, but for money and bloodlust; and young soldiers like Guy (Aneurin Barnard), who’ll taste blood and battle for the first time – and perhaps the last.

I was all interested until they threw in those powerchord electric guitar rock to accent the action or a medieval epic.

If they used the same score of a powerful song like this but used a string section instead of electric guitar powerchords, it would have been far more effective.

That being said, Giamatti does CRAZY so damned well, I still have hope.

Just please don’t let that be the soundtrack.

New Mars Needs Moms Trailer

What can I say? This actually disgusts me, its just awful looking. I can’t stand this type of ‘animated’ film, its just that motion capture…it just reminds me of rotoscoping, which shares the same horrid unnatural look. (naturally theres exceptions, like avatar etc) Anyway, I’m guessing some of you might like it, so here you go.

New Thor Trailer

A new trailer for Thor has shown up online, and forgive me for being unprofesional but this calls for a GEEK SQUEEE! It’s good, more like the Thor I wanted to see, a big boisterous, wordy god, who seems completely out of place. Thor is one of the few marvel heroes I love so, yeah, this trailer has made me want May to be RIGHT NOW. Check it out guys!

So, what do you think? I think Chris suits the part so well. I still remember watching him play Kim on aussie soap Home and Away (I used to watch it all the time) and he was always pretty cool. I know one person who’s gunna be in the theater opening night; my girlfriend. She’s even going to dress up as a tiny adorable Thor for halloween. I will be conflicted.

Michael Fassbender talks X-Men First Class Trailer

MTV Splashpage had the unique opportunity to sit through the X-Men: First Class trailer with Michael Fassbender and get some commentary and reaction from the Young Magneto himself.

I really like how Fassbender is geeking out about the role he played and still straddling that line of sharing while keeping himself in check about oversharing.

There is a sniper with a tranquillizer dart off camera ready to act should he overstep his limits. Word has it that he nearly pulled the trigger when he mentioned “two helmets”.

Still pretty interesting to see the Trailer with the star who does know the whole picture sitting in on the experience.

X-Men: First Class Trailer

Finally! Our first glimpse of the new X-Men Prequel, and boy does it look good! I’ll keep this short so I can post it and show you guys quickly. It looks entirely different to all that came before if you ask me! (and thats a good thing, in my opinion). The characters look great, and from what little I’ve seen, I’m pretty stoked and can’t wait to see it! See for yourself guys.

So, mine is going to be one of many arses sitting in the theatre when this is released in june, what about you?
